Costumed Performer Registration

Costumed Performer Registration Information

This is a THREE PART REGISTRATION. All 2025 performers must do the following:

  1. Fill out the form below

  2. Send your mandatory registration fee to the above Venmo link.

  3. Submit a photo of your face for security purposes AND submit photos or sketches of your cosplay to the Wild Hunt staff at wildhuntofvista@gmail.com

Your registration will not be logged until you have completed ALL THREE actions: the form, the fee, the photos.

48 hours prior to the Wild Hunt, you will receive an email with your Wild Hunt Performer Number. This number is required at security checkin prior to the procession.

Please take great care in putting together a QUALITY outfit that is Dark X-Mas and WINTER inspired. Winter folklore and fantasy characters from Central and Eastern Europe are most desirable. You do not have to play a Krampus, Perchten, or Belsnickle, but they are encouraged. We do also love Vikings, Yule lads, winter fairies, winter queens, kings, and witches, Welsh Mari Lywds, woodland creatures, basket bearers, and other dark winter animals. Puppets in the same genre are also welcome!

  • Please know ahead of the procession how your costume feels and acts on your body. This is imperative.

  • You will be asked to submit photos or sketches of your cosplay to the Wild Hunt staff at wildhuntofvista@gmail.com. Please be open to questions and feedback from Wild Hunt staff about the quality and safety of your cosplay.

  • Please make every effort to try to get to one of our in person meetings (Meeting schedule can be found in the Events page of the website. One or two online meetings will be offered as well- TBA)

  • Please register yourself or your group if you plan to walk, even if you are a repeat cosplayer.

    Wranglers and Personal Handlers

*Note that if you have a costume that you feel requires additional support (i.e. poor visibility, bulky, heavy, etc.), you are required to provide your own personal handler to walk with you during the procession.

All wranglers and personal handlers need to register via the form below as a “wrangler” or “personal handler” and provide a photo of their face to wildhuntofvista@gmail.com, but they do not need to pay the performer fee. All personal handlers need to be dressed head-to-toe in black the night of the event.

If you have ANY questions, please contact zach_polanco@yahoo.com. Feel free to reach out to @wildhuntersvista on instagram as well!
